The Zombie and the Siren
AH writes: I was being attacked by some sort of zombie/demon, I was some sort of siren and tried use my siren like screams to scare her off, it only empowered her and made her eyes go white, I went to bite her face off as I couldn’t hit her for some reason, ended up waking myself up by biting at my own hand 😭💀 my dreams are always off its rockers.
Our Interpretation:
This dream is intense, physical, and instinctive. It is not subtle, and that matters. Some dreams do not work through ideas quietly. They surface through the body and through action. This is one of those dreams.
Being attacked by a zombie or demon points to a sense of threat that feels relentless and unnatural. These figures often appear when something feels invasive or persistent rather than specific. They are not usually about one person. They tend to represent pressure that does not respond to reason, explanation, or normal boundaries. The threat in this dream keeps coming.

What stands out immediately is that you are not powerless. You are a siren. That means your defence comes from your voice and from expression. You try to scream to drive the attacker away. This suggests that in waking life, your instinct is to respond to threat by expressing yourself strongly, emotionally, or loudly. You try to use intensity to regain control.
The fact that this only empowers the attacker is important. Instead of backing off, the figure grows stronger and more frightening. Her eyes turn white. This often reflects a situation where pushing harder, reacting louder, or expressing more emotion does not resolve the problem. It may even make it feel worse. That can be deeply frustrating, especially for someone who relies on expression as a way to cope.
At that point, the dream shifts from expression to instinct. You cannot hit her. That block matters. Physical force is unavailable. So you bite. Biting is one of the most primal forms of defence. It bypasses rules and strategy. It is about survival. When dreams move into this territory, they are often showing that the dreamer feels cornered, exhausted, or pushed past the point where normal responses work.
Waking yourself up by biting your own hand shows how closely the dream is tied to your body. This was not just imagery. Your nervous system was fully engaged. Dreams like this are common when stress runs high, sleep is shallow, or emotions have been contained for too long. The body steps in when the mind cannot resolve the threat symbolically.
Despite how chaotic it feels, this dream does not suggest that you are out of control. It suggests the opposite. It shows a system that is trying very hard to protect itself. The escalation happens because the usual tools are not working. The dream moves down the ladder from voice, to force, to instinct.
It may be worth reflecting on whether there is something in your waking life that feels unresponsive to explanation or emotional expression. It could be a situation, a pattern, or even an internal struggle. Where do you feel that pushing harder only makes things worse? Where do you feel blocked from acting directly?
These kinds of dreams often appear when the body is carrying more than the mind has words for. They can feel wild, but they are not meaningless. They are messages from the nervous system rather than from thought.
If your dreams often feel extreme like this, it can help to look at sleep quality, stress levels, and how much release you get while awake. Sometimes the dream is not asking to be interpreted as much as it is asking for the pressure to be lowered.
Your mind is not ‘off its rocker’. It is expressive, reactive, and protective. This dream shows a system that is alert and fighting to keep itself safe, even when the tools available feel limited.
S for Siren. Z for Zombie.
